300 Ambar Lucid entertainment brands

Meanwhile, Lucid hadn’t planned on looking for a recording deal. “When I was younger I definitely had a meaner perception of labels,” she says. “But as I started to meet people and talk to people in the industry, I realized that there were a lot of amazing people who genuinely care about artists and just want to see them flourish. . “

When she met the 300 team members near the end of 2020, “I learned how much they wanted to work with me and how passionate they were about my music,” she says. When it came time to decide whether or not to sign with the tag, she turned to her trusted tarot cards.

“My tarot cards told me that the group of people associated with this label were ready to listen to me, and that my experience would be determined based on the actual expression of my needs and what I wanted,” says -it. That gut feeling was confirmed when she finally met the team last weekend at 300 co-founder and CEO. Kevin liles‘house, where they celebrated with a cake.

At 300, which was just verified on the name INC MagazineThe 2021 list of the best places to work in the United States, Lucid joins a list that includes Megan Thee Stallion, Young Thug and Gunna.

The signing is also a validation moment for Lucid, who was once told she would never achieve success with bilingual music. “It reminds me of where I could have gone if I had followed this terrible advice,” she says. “My job is to make sure that I reach out to the kids and say, ‘Don’t believe anyone who is trying to limit you and put you in a box.'”

This is exactly what she does with “Get Lost in the Music”, her new Track released today that was inspired by an experience taking psychedelic mushrooms while hiking. The song explores her path to self-acceptance, a theme she will continue to explore on her upcoming EP released on June 18th.

“The songs on this EP represent a version of myself where I take pride in being who I am and recognize my experiences for what they are, without any shame,” says Lucid. “I am me with no excuse.”
