Relax with a nice glass of New Mexico wine and local music each month at the B2B Garden Brewery.
The Garden Brewery, located at 8338 Comanche NE, presents selected wines from a select New Mexico vineyard on a Wednesday of each month as part of its Wine Down Wednesdays events. Participants can participate in free tastings and learn more about the featured wine estate. Representatives of the winery or its distributor will be on hand to discuss the featured winery and its featured wines.
DH Lescombes and St. Clair wines will be in the spotlight on Wednesday July 14th. The tasting and live music will begin at 6 p.m.

Entertainment will be provided throughout the event by Gilbert Uribe, singer, songwriter and local acoustic guitarist.
“We have at least a few bottles of these winemakers coming in, but they always come with something that we don’t have,” said Alec Linehan, ABQ B2B Marketing Associate. “So that’s kind of part of the free tasting experience, that people try on something that we don’t always wear. They can definitely taste something that we have there all the time, but also try something unique, something different.
St. Clair will bring some of its special edition wines.
“I know St. Clair is bringing some of their reserve labels and it will be really exciting to give people a taste of it for free,” said Linehan.
The Garden Brewery will host Vara Winery during the August 18 event. The Roadrunner Brass Band will perform that evening.
“We are really in the process of creating a place where New Mexico products and artisanal products are showcased,” Linehan said. “And providing more than just the beer experience, which I think everyone in New Mexico has come to know. New Mexico is the oldest wine region in North America. It’s really like this legacy that’s so special and exciting that we just want to shine a light on.
Participants will be able to take advantage of discounts on wines presented by the glass, as well as on the purchase of bottles, at each of the Wine Down Wednesdays events.
“We’ll have premium New Mexico wines for $ 4 a glass,” Linehan said. “And, then, we do amazing bottle prices if someone wants to order a bottle to eat in or even get some amazing bottle-to-go deals.”
Linehan said the first events took place in June.
“We had a lot of people and people were really excited,” Linehan said. “We actually had Amaro Winery from Las Cruces. … Winemaker Bernd Maier, he actually surprised us and came to the event. It was so cool to have him there pouring wine, talking to people and answering people’s questions. Having this interaction with the winemaker was so cool. And we didn’t even expect it. So it was like icing on the cake.
B2B Garden Brewery is located in the Northeast Heights, but the company encourages residents from all parts of the city to come for wine events.
“I think we wanted to point out that we really extend an invitation to all of the Burqueños to come to the heights of the northeast one Wednesday night a month to enjoy the best of New Mexico,” Linehan said. “Whether it’s food, beer, wine, dancing, music, the arts, we just wanted to extend that invitation.”
