Espacio Vogue Miami officially underway in Miami’s Design District – CBS Miami


MIAMI (CBSMiami) – With the official ribbon cutting, Espacio Vogue Miami is officially underway in the Miami Design District.

The four-day event is a pop-up boutique that features 40 fashion designers from Mexico and Latin America.

Vogue’s Mexico and Latin America Editorial Manager Karla Martinez de Salas organized the event.

“It’s an amazing way to see so many different brands,” said Martinez de Salas. “You can find everything from swimwear and shoes to bags and accessories and even evening dresses. It really is a great place to showcase all that Latin America has to offer.

This upscale event is truly a fashionista’s dream come true. From jewelry to costume shoes, bags and more, it’s all about promoting the talent of the region.

Colombian-born designer Luli Ballestrin and her two partners have created a fresh and fun line called Las Surenas.

“We love special designs like spirits with personality. I was looking for zebras and lions and the different flowers all mixed up, ”Ballestrin said.

Michelle Yidios’ unique handbags with mix and match straps aim to merge cultures and colors.

“The handbags come from the Middle East and they are handmade. You can mix and match the straps to your own handbags and they are made in Colombia by artisans, ”Michelle Yidios said of her Yidios Hakim branded bags.

Adriana Fernandez, who recently collaborated with Colombian song star Juanes to design her very first men’s clothing on her world tour, shows off her easy-to-wear Irish linen and Egyptian cotton dresses.

“I try to find the softest, best quality fabric for the materials. It’s the most important thing in my collection, Fernandez said.

Everyone involved with Espacio Vogue Miami is hoping that this event that supports Latin American designers will return to this city that understands everything.

“We hope this is the first of many Miami editions in this amazing Miami Design District,” said Martinez de Salas.
