Gera Demara, Nora González, Zoe Gotusso, Lupita Infante, Love of Lesbian, Luedji Luna, Os Barões da Pisadinha, Nando Reis, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Jon Secada will perform at the Latin GRAMMY Premiere®

MIAMI – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – The Latin Recording Academy® announced artists and presenters for its long-running Latin GRAMMY premiere® on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at which 45 of the 53 Latin GRAMMY Awards® categories will be awarded.

The Latin Academy will also host a premiere ceremony dedicated to the Brazilian public, as was established last year, during which all Portuguese language categories will be awarded. The in-person combo events will return to Las Vegas at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Mandalay Bay.

Hosted by Latin GRAMMY®award-winning singer-songwriter Kany garcia, and actress Caroline Dieckmann, The greatest night of Latin music® will kick off with the performances of the current nominees Gera Demara (Best Norteño album), Nora González (Best Ranchero / Mariachi Album), Zoe Gotusso (Best Pop / Rock Song and Best New Artist), Lesbian love (Best Pop / Rock Album), Luedji Luna (Best album by Musica Popular Brasileira), Os Barões da Pisadinha (Best Sertaneja Music Album), Nando reis (Best Contemporary Pop Album in Portuguese and Best Song in Portuguese), Gonzalo Rubalcaba (Best Traditional Tropical Album) and Jon secada (Best Traditional Tropical Album). Special guest, previously appointed, Lupita Infante.

In addition, the first Latin GRAMMY® of the day will be presented by the current nominees Roxana amed (Best Arrangement & Best Latin Jazz / Jazz Album), Pedro Capo (Best Pop Vocal Album), Sara correia (Best Roots Album in Portuguese Language), Plain flour (Best Urban Song), Jose gaviria (Best Salsa Album), Mélim (Best song in Portuguese language), Covi Quintana (Best singer-songwriter album), with Adrian zamarripa and Manuel Borrego of the group La Energía Norteña (Best Norteño album).

Most of the premiere performers and presenters are nominated this year, promising an afternoon full of unforgettable performances and heartfelt acceptance speeches. We will also remember Marília Mendonça, the singer-songwriter from Serteneja who tragically died last week during the premiere ceremony.

The Latin GRAMMY Premiere is broadcast worldwide via Latin GRAMMYs Facebook LIVE and Youtube channel starting at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT, followed by the 22nd annual Latin GRAMMY Awards® Broadcast live on Univision at 8 p.m. ET / PT (7 p.m. CT). It will also be broadcast on the TNT cable channel at 7 p.m. (MEX) / 8 p.m. (PAN-COL) / 9 p.m. (FRI) / 10 p.m. (ARG / CHI), and on Televisa on Channel 5.

The Latin Recording Academy will also be offering exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage of the 22nd annual Latin GRAMMY Awards on its social media platforms @LatinGRAMMYs. Live broadcasts will include recaps of the week’s events and interviews from various locations, including the red carpet and behind the scenes. A very limited number of tickets for the 22nd edition of the Latin GRAMMY Awards are available for purchase at www.axs.com. To attend all Latin Recording Academy events in Las Vegas, proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will be required, along with government-issued photo identification. Only PCR and COVID-19 antigenic tests administered in the laboratory will be accepted and must be administered within 72 hours of the event or events in which it participated. Guests of all Latin Recording Academy events are required to wear masks, regardless of immunization status, and may be required to undergo symptom screening upon entry.
