Awards season in Hollywood kicked off a few weeks ago and with the 2021 Billboard Music Awards closing, it’s now time for the eighth annual iHeartRadio Music Awards. The coveted awards ceremony will honor some of the world’s greatest artists and also see renowned musicians take to the stage with the intention of surprising audiences.
In addition to the nominees, the iHeartRadio Music Awards will also honor Elton John with the iHeartRadio Icon Award 2021 for his global impact on pop culture. The Weeknd, who recently won 10 Billboard Music Awards, will be one of the main performers of the evening with special guest Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak (AKA Silk Sonic), Dan + Shay and Doja Cat.

Fans can see all the action from the iHeartRadio Music Awards on the Fox Channel. The show will air live at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 27 on Fox. The event will also be broadcast on iHeartMedia radio stations across the country and on the iHeartRadio streaming platform.
Host
R&B icon Usher will take over as host of the evening. Interestingly, he will also perform a medley of his hit songs at the ceremony. The talented crooner took to his Instagram to share the big news and captioned the photo, âCan’t wait to host AND perform at the 2021 @iheartradio Music Awards! Performers
Elton John will receive an Icon Award at the coveted awards ceremony. The hitmaker “Tiny Dancer” will be presented by Chris Martin and Lil Nas X, while Demi Lovato, Brandi Carlile and HER are expected to perform in his honor. Artists namely Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Roddy Ricch, Twenty One Pilots, Megan Thee Stallion and a few others will also make an appearance at the awards ceremony.
