Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson star “Marry Me” hit theaters twice, on Peacock


After months of waiting, Universal has finally set a release date for the romantic comedy “Marry Me” starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson in the lead roles. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the directors have planned a double release for the film – in theaters and on the sister Peacock streamer.

“Marry Me” will be released on February 11, 2022, in time for Valentine’s Day, the same day it was previously scheduled to launch exclusively in theaters. Filled with original songs by Lopez and Latin music sensation Maluma, “Marry Me” is based on a graphic novel of the same name by Bobby Crosby.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film centers on a pop superstar (Lopez) who, moments before marrying her rock star fiance at Madison Square Garden (Maluma), discovers he was cheating on her with his assistant and spontaneously melts away. on stage and chooses a random divorced math teacher (Wilson) from the crowd to get married instead. Chloe Coleman, Sarah Silverman, John Bradley, Michelle Buteau and Utkarsh Ambudkar also star in the film.
