“Lyric and Beat” receives rave reviews for its jaw-dropping musical numbers

iWantTFC’s first original music series, Lyric and Beat, has been making viewers sing and dance to its jaw-dropping performances since its premiere on the streaming platform.

Seth Fedelin (left) and Andrea Brillantes share a special on-screen bond as Beat and Lyric, respectively

The series features the powerful vocal numbers and electric dance moves of talented young artists Andrea Brillantes, Seth Fedelin, Darren Espanto, AC Bonifacio, Kyle Echarri, Sheena Belarmino, Jeremy Glinoga, Angela Ken and Awra Briguela.

Viewers are already thrilled with the first three episodes and got “LSS” (Last Song Syndrome) on songs that received a new twist such as “Tara Tena”, “Kabataang Pinoy”, “Hindi Kita Iiwan” and “ Patuloy the Pangarap. All of the songs featured in the series are part of award-winning composer Jonathan Manalo’s 20-year discography.

Nylon Manila magazine called the series “the next-gen musical series you’ve been waiting for” and added that it’s a palate cleanser that “seems to give Pinoy musicals their deserved moment in the spotlight”.

Village Pipol also praised the show’s feel-good story and called it a “once in a blue moon” series that will leave viewers “toe-tapping to the majestic beat”.

Along with the musical madness of Lyric and Beat, viewers also praised the series on social media for its gripping storyline with an inspiring message to never give up on your dreams.

In the current story, the Werpa team of Lyric (Andrea) and Beat (Seth) train hard as they prepare for a group showdown against the notorious Prime Belters, led by their team captain Jazz ( Darren).

Amid the rivalry between the two groups, a special bond seems to develop between Lyric and Beat as they help each other succeed in school. Which team will win the right to represent their school in the highly anticipated major national competition?

Stream free new episodes of Lyric and Beat every Friday on the iWantTFC app (iOs and Android) and website (iwanttfc.com).
