A press release for the musical describes the show’s plot:
“Meet Jenna, an expert waitress and baker who dreams of getting out of her small town and her rocky marriage. Pouring her heart into her pies, she makes desserts that reflect her life inside out, such as “The Key (Lime ) to Happiness Pie” and “Betrayed By My Eggs Pie”. When a baking contest in a nearby county – and a satisfying encounter with someone new – gives Jenna a chance for a fresh start, she must find the courage to take it in. Change is on the menu, as long as Jenna can write her own, perfectly personal recipe for happiness.
“Waitress” opened in 2016 at the Brooks Atkinson Theater on Broadway and was based on the 2007 film of the same name. It was famous for being the first Broadway musical in history to have four women on the top creative teams.
Tickets for the show will start at $40 and can be purchased online or by calling 321-242-2219.
The opening hours of the ticket office are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
