New Delhi: The Punjab National Bank (PNB) is seeking to hire a non-judicial member to advise on issues such as loan compromise and write-off.
The public sector lender has invited expressions of interest (EoI) from professional or retired staff based in Delhi or the surrounding area.
“Punjab National Bank, one of the leading public sector banks in India with its head office in Dwarka, New Delhi, invites interest from professional / retired staff based in or around Delhi, for honorary positions ( a non-judicial member), “he said in a notice.
The non-judicial member will act as a member of the Headquarters Committee (HOSAC), which was set up by the bank to examine the proposal relating to compromise / delisting, release of guarantors, waiver of legal action inter alia and to make its recommendation to the competent authority for consideration, in accordance with the expression of interest.
The Delhi-based lender said he is looking for a prominent / reputable person, preferably CMD / ED / CGM / GM retired from a public sector bank.
“The position is honorary. Committee members will, however, be entitled to a meeting fee of 15,000 yen plus a transportation fee of 1,500 yen,” the lender said.
The committee usually meets once or twice a month (as needed) at the bank’s head office, he added.
In accordance with the EoI, interested applicants can submit their application before April 14, 2021.
