In the Netflix series Luis Miguel, Teresa Ruiz played a new character for season two named Azucena. The businesswoman works for Luis Miguel to protect his interests as he struggles with mistrust. Although the character is fictional for the series, it is based on the combination of several employees in real life.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with actress Teresa Ruiz about her character and the series Luis Miguel. We talked about the basics of her character and how she managed to keep her character details under wraps for so long.
Teresa Ruiz graduated from the Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory (formerly PDAC) in 2003. She returned to Mexico to perform in numerous Mexican films and televisions, notably Welcome Paisano, El encanto del aguila, and Mariachi Gringo. In 2013, she was invited by the late Martin Landau to become a member of the Actors Studio. Ruiz appeared in the fourth season of Netflix Narcos playing Isabella Bautista, a longtime friend of main character Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo. She later reprized the character for the first and second seasons of Netflix Narcos: Mexico. Most recently she played Rosa in the Robert Lorenz film The sniper. In addition, she had television roles in TNT The last boat, Linked to a gangue, and Major crimes.
