The 23rd Latin Grammy Awards take place on Thursday, November 17 and will bring together the great and the good for a ceremony in Las Vegas.
bad bunny racked up the most nominations with a very impressive 10 nominations across multiple categories. He is closely followed by Edgar Barrera which garnered nine nominations.
You can watch at home with full coverage on Univision, which also features an exclusive red carpet extravaganza ahead of the ceremony. Besides the awards themselves, viewers will be treated to a series of highly anticipated performances from major artists.
Who will perform at the Latin Grammys?
In a series of announcements, the the organizers unveiled a number of big names taking the stage, with Latin Grammy stars past and present ready to perform.
Singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera will take the stage to perform from Los Angeles on Thursday. She won Best Female Pop Vocal Album in 2001 and hopes to add to that this week with seven nominations.
Colombian musician Camille will also perform on stage at the Michelob Ultra Arena. It won four awards in 2021, including Best Pop Song and Best Vocal Album.
Rauw Alejandro, nominated for Best New Artist two years ago, picked up nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year this time around and will give a live performance. Don’t be surprised to hear a live rendition of ‘Water‘ from the Puerto Rican star.
He will be joined by nine-time Latin Grammy nominees Sebastien Yatra. The 28-year-old has received four nominations this year.
Mexican pop duo Jesse & Joy have already won six Latin Grammys and the pair will be back to perform this year. They are also up for an award again, with a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. Another past winner Chiquis also occurs at Thursday’s ceremony.
But perhaps most exciting of all, musician, singer, songwriter and record producer Marco Antonio Solis will deliver an unforgettable performance. He has five previous Latin Grammy wins and has already been crowned Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year.
Rounding out the 2022 Latin Grammys performances are Elvis Costello, Jorge Drexler, John Legend, Mariachi Sol de México de José Hernández Banda Los Recoditos, Nicky Jam, Carin León, Sin Bandera and Christian Nodal.
